　いつも行くドーナツ屋の店内は賑わっており、席も最後の一つだった。隣の席のおじさんはパソコンに向かってかなり険しい顔をしていて、かわいらしい店内には似つかわしくなかった。
「あーあ、なんで……」
　赤面したハヤトはうつぶせになる。その光景があまりに愉快で、オレは大声で笑いだしたくなるのを必死に堪えていた。
「負けたハヤトが悪いんだろー」
「だって、あんなのズルいよ……」
　なんてことない、きっかけは昨日の部室でのことだった。シキが突然、「愛してるゲーム」をやろうと言い出したのだ。真顔で「愛してる」と伝えられるか、照れたら負け、という簡単なルールで、負けたら奢りなと言ったのはオレだ。
