「青子のやつこきつかいやがって……」

　大晦日の夜道を歩く。丸一日かけて幼馴染の家のエアコン、レンジフード、換気扇、2階の窓をぴかぴかにし、黒羽快斗はようやく帰路についたところだ。中森警部が買ってきたちょっといい肉のすき焼きをご馳走になってきたが、寒さに負けてふらりとコンビニに立ち寄りピザまんを買う。肉まんとあんまんと迷ったけれど、なんとなくピザまんの気分だった。
　さみぃさみぃと言いながら家に入ろうとして、動画の停止ボタンが押されたようにぴたりと動作を止めた。家の中に人の気配がする。家の中の人物は玄関から鍵を開けて入ったらしい。他に侵入の痕跡はない。今日は母は帰らないと言っていたが、気まぐれな人なので予定を変えたのかもしれない。
