大魔道士の価値を正しく“理解”する大臣モブおじさん「お待ちしておりましたよ大魔道士殿、どうぞこちらへ」
おれの手を引く豪奢な服を着こなしている恰幅の良い男はこの国パプニカの大臣である。
田舎の一般家庭育ちである自分が、まさか一国の大臣と“こんな”関係を結ぶようなるとは誰も思いもよらないだろうと自傷気味に小さく笑い、いつものように寝室へ通される。
しかし、いつもと違うのは寝室に他の男がいることだ。男はおれと目が合うとベッドからおもむろに立ち上がる。
「申し遅れました、彼は私の大切な友人でしてね。以前から大魔道士殿を大変好いておられるようで、ずっとこうして会う機会を伺っていたのですよ」
その友人もまた、何かしらの地位についているのか大層な服を着ている。年の方も大臣と同じくらいだろうか。軽く会釈し言葉を交わすと男は息を荒くし、いかにも興奮していますと言わんばかりである。
