　　十月的風在白晝裡寬慰剛從酷暑裡逃出來的人們，夜晚化作冷厲的冤魂吹落了所有樹葉，將幽密的森林弄得陰森幢幢，慘白的月光少了茂密樹冠的阻擋無情地照在光禿的枝幹、枯褐的落葉堆出的獸徑，以及一匹金毛狼人和一名髮色奇異的吸血鬼身上。
　　這倆族類通常無法或是不喜光明正大地享受陽光，尤其是吸血鬼，但凡稍為年輕一點的一旦曝於日光之下都能感受到無比的焦灼苦痛。
　　Shu有些特別，他的年齡處於中間值，不上不下，也不特別恨惡陽光，白晝或是夜晚並不是他是否出門的先決條件，只要是他沒有意願或是沒有進食的必要，他可以縮在自己乾淨又幽閉的城堡內至少三個月。
