悪夢の終わり胸糞悪い夢を見る。

背中にはじっとりと汗をかいている。
額に汗で貼り付いた髪の毛を気怠げに掻き上げながらベッドから抜け出すとヒンヤリとした空気が肌に心地良い。
悪い夢を忘れようとタバコに火を付け煙をふーっと吐き出す。

──いつからだろうか、気づくと連続で同じ悪夢を見るようになった。
大切な奴らが死んでゆくのだ。自分だけを残して。
1日や2日ならば気にも止めぬようなくだらない夢。
はっきりと意識し始めてから数えてみると2週間はすでに同じような夢を見続けているのだ。
流石になにかがおかしいと気づいてはいるが原因に心当たりが全くと言っていい程ないのである。

日に日に眠るのが憂鬱になるくらいには嫌な夢だ。
人の死に立ち会うことは一般人よりは多いが流石に親しい奴らの顔が目の前で死んでゆくのを何度も見るのは良い気はしねえ。
