He focused on the words of the aspiring actor crossing his arms over his chest, looking at him with a perplexed gaze. He wasn’t comprehending at all what Norton was trying to tell him.

有無すら言わせないようにとの気迫で部下が通勤用かばんを差し出してくる姿に、この何時も嫋やかな部下の希美君が珍しく強い口調と手段を用いる事に呆気に取られていれば、それすら心配に値する姿なのだろう

「連勤10日、その内署内での仮眠をとった日が10日。さすがにこれ以上の連勤は認められません。確かに隊長に頼らなければならない場面は多々あるのですが・・だからこそ本日こそは御帰宅の上休息をお取りください」
「・・・帰りたくないって言ってもダメかい？」
「ダメです。さらに強硬手段がお望みでしたら、労基にも働きかけます」


あがきとばかりに連勤の提案すれば法律まで出してくる希美君に帰宅は催促ではなくもはや命令に近いものだと思い知らされる。
