Just like how Thorns knows he will use the potion to turn him into seaborn one day, he also knows, in the back of his mind, that the poison he created will definitely be used one day by the requester. Not to harm others, but to commit suicide.

(Even knowing that, he still made it anyway. Does he regret it now Who knows. Even then, there are many other poison out there, it doesn't have to be his.)

He stands before Dr. Hana, whose eyes are closed, with her back against the wall. She's sleeping like usual. He gently lays the ring in her cold hand, waiting for her to wake up, to clean up his mess.

But she never wakes up. A small bottle of potion is laying next to her. She had ingested the poison he concocted for her and died.

Ishar-mla (Skadi) will be furious when she somehow finds out about this. Thorns have indirectly killed her beloved, after all.

I don't know how sane seaborn Thorns is, but I want to think he eventually picks her body up to lie her down somewhere (this can be done whether he thinks she's just asleep or dead). But Ishar-mla wants her body too. I want to think he refuses to let her go and a fight ensues. Of course, he dies in the end.
