煙草（先生、いつもこんなことしてるのかな）
　なにか頼み事をして、その代わりに身体を差し出すようなことを。
　裸の肩がひやりとする。乾きかけた汗が体温を奪っている。空調の音が急に耳障りに感じて、僕は床に落ちていたズボンのポケットから煙草とライターを取り出した。窓の外から入るネオンの光が、その人の肌を青白く照らしていた。眠っているように見える。少し乱暴に、してしまったかもしれない。ため息とともに吐き出される白煙は暗い部屋に溶けて消えた。
　「明日そっち行くから」と唐突に連絡をよこしてきたその人を迎えに行き、ホテルに向かう途中にした話を僕は思い出していた。「自分の身になにかあったら、同級生や後輩のことを頼む」というものだった。拍子抜けしたというのが正直なところだ。言われなくても、学校の皆はいつでも守りたいと思っているし、電話で済む話だと思ったし、それ以外の用事だったとしても、先生の言いつけなら僕は何だって……。

The four prominent one is Langkasuka, Kedah Tua, Chi Thu, and Gangganegara. Due to his late growth and inexperienced, they all nicknamed him ‘Si Kecil’ despite him living longer than them. Not to mention his body still look like a child.
